Yes, I'm talking about my dreamy husband, Eric. Tomorrow will mark 6 years from the moment I said "I do;" the best decision I've ever made in my life. I married him because he respected me and he showed me a kind of genuine love I had never experienced. And he's a hottie.
Eric is not only my greatest supporter, he's completely involved in everything I do. Here he is in Orlando, FL taking pictures of the Ladies of Martha Stewart's Dreamers into Doers community.
Just to give you a glimpse of how spoiled I've been these past 6 years…
Back when I used to work, he would iron my clothes while I was in the shower. Then while I got dressed, he made breakfast for me and packed my lunch. By the time I was done with breakfast my car was loaded and running, just waiting for me to drive out.
When my first son was born, Eric changed every single diaper the entire 2 weeks he was home!!!! Today, he still handles bedtime by himself, giving both kids massages before reading, praying, singing, and tucking them to bed. He's always been the one to respond to those middle of the night calls from across the house too.
I've always said being a Daddy is in his DNA. He LOVES being a Daddy and a Husband. And we LOVE that he's ours.
Eric's love is the best gift I have ever received. He is my bestEST friend and without him I would not be able to do any of what I do. His calm temperament and humble attitude inspire me to want to be a better person.
Now off to plan our Anniversary date which was my turn to plan this year...YIKES!!!
wow! That post made me teary eyed - What a way to honor your husband by writing this about him! Reading this reminded me of my best friend - my husband- they have a lot of similarities! It is amazing having a husband like this & to see that yours is so grounded in Christ is awesome - LOVE it! =)Congrats on 6 years!

Thanks for reading my post and for your kinds words, Laura! How great that you can relate. I'm all for family and nothing makes me happier than knowing my friends have healthy marriages. The only way we can achieve that is by building our marriages on Jesus Christ. What a great place to be!
ReplyDeleteEric is an amazing man and a great role model. Before I got married I always thought I wanted a husband who loved me and treated me as wonderfully as Eric treats you. He set the bar high, and I am so glad I had you guys as a role model for what a good marriage looks like. I love you both. Happy early anniversary!!!!
ReplyDeleteDebra, What a blessing you have in Eric. I saw first hand what a wonderful hubby you had when he was so patient to take pictures from the many different cameras at the Florida Bloggers Luncheon. Your family is beautiful and I pray many more happy blessed years for you all!
