The importance of being Unique

When I decided to launch TiTi's TuTu's, the first thing I asked myself was, "What is going to set me apart from other businesses?" After all, I had only been making tutus for my baby girl to wear for fun.

To me, the answer was clear: PASSION. Like with everything else I do, I put my heart into my Creations. I figure that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing with passion. It is my deepest desire to create a design that captures the individuality of each client.

Earlier this year, a trusted counselor shared with me the secret to letting your individuality shine:
  1. Make sure that what you are doing is what you are supposed to be doing. You can't have passion if you don't love what you are doing or if it is not your calling.
  2. Stop comparing yourself with others or concerning yourself with the opinions of others. As long as you know that you are fulfilling your destiny, the opinion of others (good or bad) is irrelevant.
  3. Be yourself! Embrace your quirks, celebrate your gifts, and be free.
This last set of TuTu's is a prime example:
My client was a fun-loving mom looking for a unique photo prop for her two sweet girls. After the interview process, I found the perfect combination of colors and ribbons to best adorn their natural radiant joy. The family loved my creations!

How about you?
What are You passionate about?
What makes You unique?

  1. I love your newest tutus, the purple one is beautiful. I love the ribbon. And I loved your post about having passion. I've always known that I love kids and teaching, and when I was teaching elementary school I liked it a lot but there were days when I thought I wanted to quit which really surpried me because of how much I love kids. But now teaching my preschoolers I realize that this is my passion. I am so excited everyday about my kids and I love each of them as if they are my own. As the end of the school year approaches it makes me sad to know that they will be in someone else's class and I won't see them everyday. I'm sad for people who go to work everyday and hate their jobs. I wish everyone got tons of hugs in the morning and the "I love yous" for something so simple as tying a shoe lace. There is nothing greater than realizing your passion and I am so thankful I was able to find mine.
